In three words: wow, wow, wow, wow. Teriyaki tofu, nummy. Absolutely. Irrevocably. The things I'd do for that teriyaki tofu can't be publicly stated (grrah!) Send my thanks to the chef. Thank you. My granddaughter always loves to come here, and we will be back again soon! Always a delight 😊

Second time eating here recently and I think it’s my new favourite Wellington joint - great service, great food, well priced and something for everyone - even Vegans.

We done at Lucky 8 for a Birthday dinner. We were early so decided to have a look around Te Papa (which is just down the down) to kill some time. Parking was easy and because of the early booking there were plenty. Service was on point as soon as we walked in. The food was so delicious and very filling. We made a special note (while making a reservation online because our son is 6 foot 7) we asked to please make sure he has a comfortable place to sit and eat (which can be hard at some places). And they absolutely come through for us. The only thing was the music was abit loud making it hard to have a conversation. But other then that we enjoyed and would highly recommend it. Thank you guys so much

Definitely found my new favourite place to go! You will be seeing more of me. Went there on friday night with my family and had the wellys on a plate burger which was incredible. Then went on Saturday with my partner and got the prawn and pork wontons which are just so tasty. Am absolutely in love with theyre coconut mai tai and is definitely a must try. Everyone is so lovely there and there genuinely is very little wait for everything. Overall really nice place to go to and couldnt recommend enough!

Went for dinner last week. Thoroughly impressed with the theme, food, staff and overall vibe. What a fun new option for dinner in town. Food was great, even branched out of my comfort zone - because for $8.88 why not? Will definitely be back.

Great experience, vibe and food. We did the all you can eat base package for brunch, which was fantastic, no complaints - we got overwhelmed with food and had to ask the waiting staff to slow down and then stop providing us with more. Deducting one star out of principle, as this establishment is one of a growing number in NZ where they require customers who are trying to pay their bill with a tip menu - tipping culture doesn't belong here. also could've made the credit card surcharge sign more visible.

I came in open-minded after reading a mix of good and bad reviews, and I’m so glad I did—I was super impressed! We received a warm welcome from the entire team right off the bat. The seating area was great, and the food started arriving almost as soon as we sat down. Every dish was perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and there was plenty to choose from. The service was truly top-notch, with servers constantly checking on us and offering new dishes. While I did miss the traditional warm tea you'd expect at yum cha, the $8.88 cocktails more than made up for it! Will definitely be back.
